Our Premier Program includes 5 service visits per year; each fertilization application is tailored to your lawn and its needs, promoting a deep root system and a thick, green lawn.

  • Service 1 - An application of fertilizer with crab grass control.
  • Service 2 - An application of slow release granular fertilizer is applied to continue to promote the health and color of your lawn.  Weed control is also applied where needed.
  • Service 3 - A slow release granular fertilizer is applied and weed control is applied where needed. (Optional Insect Control is also applied at this time.)
  • Service 4 - A slow release granular fertilizer is applied to help recover from the summer heat.  A weed control is also applied where needed.
  • Service 5 - At this time of year, root growth is developing.  The fertilizer application is designed to promote that growth and prepares your lawn for the winter.

Our Estate Program includes 6 visit per year; it offers the same services as our Premier Program, plus a core aeration.

Broadleaf Weed Control

Pro-Care practices Integrated Pest Management (IPM), an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management. Utilizing structural and biological strategies, we're better able to control a wide variety of pest related problems.

Our IPM programs use current, comprehensive information about the life cycles of pests that, in combination with available pest control methods, are used to best manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment.

Weed control programs involve pre-emergent treatments that will help reduce the sprouting of spring weeds. Post-emergent applications will help control persvasive weeds during the summer months.

Contact treatments are made when broadleaf weeds are actively growing. In order to allow for the proper uptake of the product, the control product must contact the leaf surface in order to achieve effective results.  Our broadleaf weed control will clear out more than 50 common lawn weeds, including dandelion, plantain and clover.

Crabgrass Prevention

A pre-emergent is applied in early spring to stop crabgrass from coming up.

Core Aeration

Homeowners are increasingly using lawn services to help insure the beauty and value of their lawns and landscape. But the increased weight of those mowing machines – plus the weight of the rider – goes a long way toward compacting your soil and keeping air, water and vital nutrients from reaching the root zone of your grass.

That’s where aeration comes in. Aeration is the removal of small cores of soil which helps to mitigate compacted soil and allows air, moisture and nutrients down to the root zone. A yearly core aeration is included with our Estate Program.

Insect Control

Every year, grubs and other insects cause severe and devastating damage to lawns.  Nothing wreaks havoc on your lawn like an army of grubs.  (See White Grubs on the FAQs page.)

Protect your lawn from these damaging pests through a properly supervised Pro-Care program designed to reduce infestations. Unlike other companies, Pro-Care's treatment covers both grubs and surface-feeding insects.

A low-toxicity insecticide applied once per year will give you season-long protection.  We will treat for chinch bugs, sod webworms, armyworms and other damaging insects throughout the year.

Our full insect treatment also offers 30-45 days of flea and tick control.

Disease Control

The best way to prevent disease is to keep your lawn healthy through proper watering, mowing at the correct height and through regular fertilization.  (See Lawn Height on the FAQs page.)
